DEN BLÅ PLANET (“THE BLUE PLANET”)
Den Blå Planet is the home of Denmark’s National Aquarium and is an architecturally accomplished building by the coast of the Øresund Sound between Denmark and Sweden. The building is designed as a whirlpool, thus creating a connection between the external in the form of its location and the aquarium’s interior. The facade enclosure around the entire building was supplied by Dan Vals.
MULTI-STOREY CAR PARK AT RIGSHOSPITALET
The award-winning multi-storey car park at Rigshospitalet, Denmark’s leading hospital, is easily recognisable by the welcoming façade covering of irregularly shaped metal panels that give a shifting appearance depending on light and viewing angle. The machined metal panels were supplied by Dan Vals.
CIRCULAR BRIDGE OVER CHRISTIANSHAVN CANAL
Beautiful architecture in urban spaces can help us to slow down. This is also true of the Olafur Eliasson circular bridge in Copenhagen, which elegantly spans the Christianshavn Canal, linking the Islands Brygge and Christianshavn districts. The five “trumpets” on which the panels rest were supplied by Dan Vals.

When Assitech came up with a product that uses an innovative aluminium handrail, it was important that the profile should not become deformed during manufacture.
When industrial company Norsk Hydro ASA wanted to place an order for several thousand aluminium profiles, Dan Vals followed a professional approach from start to finish.
Thorough sparring and quality assurance made it possible to construct complex façade profiles for a major London construction project.
